Edinburgh Chiropractor Dr. Paul Homoky

“As a child, I always thought everyone visited the chiropractor! And now, after many years of clinical practice, it’s become clear why everyone should…”

Dr. Homoky recalls, “Every month, my mum would take us all along to the ‘bone cruncher’ for our regular spinal check-up. Of course, she would also have her spine checked. At the time, she was fighting serious illness and had exhausted the medical alternatives. The chiropractor would check her spine and correct spinal imbalances that affected her nervous system and, consequently, her health. Whether or not it was due to the advice and spinal care from the chiropractor, her dramatically improved health at that time baffled doctors. Chiropractic has been an important part of my life ever since.”

Chiropractic Education

Dr. Homoky’s chiropractic education began at the University of Calgary, Canada, where he completed his pre-med Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. Subsequently, in 1998 he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. After graduation, Dr. Homoky decided to return to the U.K., his birthplace, and following years of clinical associate work, opened Health for Life Family Chiropractic in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland. He has been practising there ever since.

In His Free Time

Enjoying his free time, Dr. Homoky tries to keep a balanced life: “Aside from my professional interests, I love music, and I can spend many hours lost in a beautiful song or in writing. My outdoor pursuits are a life-line for me and a real stress-buster—I love the Scottish countryside, whether it’s mountain biking, surfing, running, or bagging Munros.”

My Purpose at Health For Life Spinal Wellness Centre

But at the core of Health for Life is a strong philosophy of practice. Dr. Homoky explains: “Since my chiropractic career began, I have seen a great many lives change dramatically with a commitment to healthy lifetime habits, including regular chiropractic care. I feel it’s my purpose to pass on the skills I’ve been given, to actively share the true message of health, and to help others live the full life they were born to live, through chiropractic.”

Dr. Homoky is registered with the General Chiropractic Council, and is a member of both the Scottish Chiropractic Association and the British Chiropractic Association.
