What Our Patients Say

“Seeing a chiropractor was the best move I ever made.”

Increasing pain in the left hip, down the leg and numbness of some of the toes made my wife suggest I attended here.  Being a good Scot (despite the name, I was born in Edinburgh) the lure of a free family check-up encouraged my attendance.  The results of that and the x-ray were quite an eye-opener!

Seeing a chiropractor was the best move I ever made.  My walking days seemed to be literally disappearing over the hill.  Walks which were only lasting half an hour are now lasting 3 or 4, and with little or no after-effects.  At 61, the future is looking rosy again.

Chiropractors rule!

“Better clarity of thought …”

A resolution to commit to being healthier led to curiosity as to whether I could do anything about long term back and neck discomfort.  I bumped into Health for Life at my gym.  The gym was making me fitter, but not better.

Chiropractic care has certainly improved and loosened up my core problems, and led to a greater understanding of self.  There have been one or two interesting side effects which I am pretty sure are connected to my care:  better clarity of thought and a change to my approach to food and alcohol—unbidden beneficial side effects!

Commit to improving your physical and mental health.  Things happen as a result.  Changes happen, and as you are now focused on benefit to yourself, others benefit also.  You are also in a better frame of mind and body to handle those changes.  Have that conversation with yourself.

“…Everyone that uses a computer should be aware of the long term effects of poor posture.”

My daughter, fed up with me complaining about sore back/neck/shoulders and doing nothing about it, bought me a consultation as a Christmas present.

Directly, I have less shoulder and neck pain and am now sleeping better than I have for a number of years.  Indirectly, it has caused me to think about my health and start treating health as something that I am responsible for rather than something that I simply succumb to.

Everyone in my profession (information technology), if not everyone that uses a computer, should be much more aware of the positive effects of good posture, but  perhaps more importantly they should be aware of the long term effects of poor posture.

“You are never too young or too old”

It is almost eight years since I had my first chiropractic appointment, to sort out an injury to my lower back caused by lifting heavy objects wrongly.  My thoughts were to have the complaint diagnosed, corrected, and that would be the end of that particular problem.

Whilst at the clinic, I read some of the literature available and listened to the advice given by the doctor.  I then realized that regular checks and chiropractic adjustments could help solve and prevent a myriad of health problems.

Since I have attended the clinic, I have found that the undivided attention of the doctor and the treatment received has been extremely beneficial towards helping my overall physical and mental health.

With the problems and stresses of modern day living, I hope that more people will realise the benefits natural health care can bring.  You are never too young or too old to benefit from this care.

My wife and daughter are also regular patients at the clinic.

“I find chiropractic energising and relaxing.”

I first came here in early 2007 following over-exertion at the staff Christmas dance!  Before coming, I’d had difficulty weight-bearing on my right leg, and standing for any period was painful.  Results were immediate.  I’m not saying it was 100% better overnight, but certainly I could walk and stand with much reduced pain.

Over the past year (and, OK, this may have happened anyway) I’ve been free of minor ailments, have felt generally better in myself, and more capable of coping with the stresses and strains of work life.

A big plus for me has been a regular time that I have taken for ‘ME’, as most of the time I’m surrounded by external issues and work problems.  I find chiropractic energising and relaxing.  Oh, by the way, I’m back on the dance floor!

Try it—you’ll like it!

“I have greatly improved concentration
and confidence…”

I came along to Health for Life Chiropractic for a check-up, and had an examination and had X-rays taken.  Then Dr. Homoky reported back to me and explained that I had a curve in my spine and the start of wear and tear in the upper spinal area.  He recommended that I embark on a 6 month course of care to correct this.

Since I started chiropractic care,

  • My balance feels more stable
  • Physically I feel more energetic, fit, supple, and able to last physical paces (e.g. dancing) for longer
  • I’m less prone to tiredness, headaches, and bodily aches and stiffness
  • Mentally I have greatly improved concentration, more confidence in dealing with people, and problems are dealt with more effectively
  • I find life and people don’t bother me as much—in fact, I find making friends so much easier.  I tend to think more of others and dwell less on myself.

If you know of anyone with bad posture or the beginnings of stiffness with a spinal cause, bring them along.  I believe chiropractic care can prolong a sense of youth and vigour.

“Chiropractic has helped me overcome
panic attacks.”

I first contacted the clinic when I suffered with sciatica pain.

Now, I have no pain whatsoever from the sciatica.  I am more active, have more energy & feel 100% better.

Chiropractic has also helped me overcome anxiety which I suffered through panic attacks.  I also suffered badly with headaches which I used to get every day, now I don’t get them at all.

Give it a try—you will definitely feel the benefits, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

“Everyone should have a Chiropractor!”

Due to a fall some months ago, I was left with a painful back and shoulder, and limited movement of my right arm.  This made dressing agonisingly difficult and as the muscles in my upper right arm were also weakened, normal movement was severely restricted.

I was also on medication for high blood pressure, and at my initial examination the reading was 160/110.

Now, my shoulders must be at least 6 inches lower and my right arm is less painful, with movement 75% better—so has my life changed?!  Well the answer is a positive YES.  My chiropractic experience has also made me more aware of my posture both mentally and physically.

I am still a work in progress with a positive attitude.  Thanks to Paul’s adjustments my latest blood pressure reading was 130/80.  –My body is definitely less stressed.

Everyone should have a CHIROPRACTOR.

“Chiropractic care has alleviated my headaches.”

I first consulted the chiropractic clinic for numbness developing in my arm; soreness in my back; headaches.  I had been forced off the road in a car accident—I had not been to the doctor although the car was a write-off.  I had no suspicion that I had sustained injuries until the above symptoms developed.

Chiropractic care has promoted more flexibility, and alleviated my headaches.

I regard chiropractic as a human M.O.T. which you would give your car.  Both require regular maintenance!

“I enjoy my adjustments each time.”

A very old and untreated rugby injury to the neck re-emerged with a vengeance, although it had always caused occasional problems.  Physiotherapy had been fruitless, and having been impressed by chiropractic many years ago I picked up the yellow pages (and struck lucky.)

The severe neck and shoulder pain has gone—I can move much better and, for example, can turn my neck without having to move my shoulders at the same time.  I am certainly more flexible.

Having seen the x-ray’s evidence of damage to neck and spine from many years of rugby, weightlifting etc., a year later I know I am straighter and upright to the extent of actually feeling taller.  Perhaps I am “punch-drunk”, but I enjoy my adjustments each time.

My advice:  Believe? Relax? Understand? Improve.

“I don’t have migraines any more!”

I first saw your stall at my health club.  I had back pain for years, due to working as a nurse.  I suffered constant lower and upper back pain.  I was having migraines frequently and was always in pain.

After chiropractic care:

  • I don’t have migraines any more!
  • My back pain has lessened to almost none.
  • I am much more flexible.
  • Before, when I stood flush to the wall you could get a fist in the space between my lower back, and now you can barely get a flat palm.
  • I feel much taller.
  • I have no pain when exercising at all, and my back is much straighter.

“No walking sticks!”

One morning, I came to the chiropractic clinic using 2 walking sticks, because I was having difficulty standing on my left leg.  Six years previous, a right knee replacement had been necessary resulting in restricted movement.

First impressions are important, but I needn’t have worried as the clinic had such a friendly atmosphere, it was a pleasure to go there!

After consultation, examination, and x-rays, the results were not good.  Treatment started the following week.

After three weeks of treatment, my walking was improving and the pain diminishing—what bliss!—and no walking sticks!

I hope to be back swimming and bowling sooner than I dared hope!  I can’t thank the staff at the chiropractic clinic enough.

I had severe pain in my shoulders and biceps, especially after lifting anything.  I had an unsuccessful operation, had tried physiotherapy and acupuncture.

“After one treatment, my baby’s vomiting
stopped completely.”

Christian was a difficult forceps delivery.  I brought him to see Dr. Homoky when Christian was five months old as he was a very unsettled baby who could not be left in one position for any length of time without becoming quite distressed.  Christian was also quite a sick baby, particularly in the afternoons, and would also rub his right ear frequently.

During Christian’s first treatment he was actually sick on Dr. Homoky (an experience I’m sure he will not forget in a hurry!!) and was generally very unhappy.  However, I was amazed that even after one treatment, Christian’s vomiting stopped completely.

With each session Christian became less upset and by the fourth week, not only had he stopped rubbing his right ear and generally becoming more settled, he was also quite happy during his adjustments.  Chiropractic has given me back a baby who I can finally start to enjoy!

I believe that a case like Christian’s is proof that chiropractic does work, as babies’ minds are not open to suggestion or influence and therefore the results you see are real.

“I had not been able to stand still for more
than 5 minutes…”

Before considering chiropractic care for regular spinal maintenance, I had not been able to stand still for more than 5 minutes, or undertake any strenuous activity for a number of years.  At the time I contacted the chiropractic clinic, I was in considerable discomfort, especially at night.

Within 2 months of chiropractic care, I was better than I had been for many years.  Now, 18 months later, I can garden, play golf, and stand still for long periods of time!

“When subluxations are treated, energy flows through the body and one feels restored in body, mind and spirit.”

I came across Paul doing posture checks in a shopping centre.  Knowing my posture was becoming poor and causing back discomfort, I followed up with a visit to the clinic where Paul checked my spine and sent me for X-rays.  As he took me through these I realized I needed to take action!  I was 63, active and generally in good health, but my neck and back were painful and I discovered I was twisting in the pelvic area, thus affecting posture and movement.

I have been coming to Paul for chiropractic for 2 years today.  I travel from Thurso (a 6 hour drive) for treatments whenever I can, and feel so much the better for the improvements he has made to my spine.

I move more freely, and that helps my energy and life in general.  I have tried various treatments prior to chiropractic but for me this form of treatment has been really successful.  When subluxations are treated, energy flows through the body and one feels restored in body, mind and spirit.  I consider Paul to be a superb practitioner and have recommended family and friends.

Pain and discomfort get in the way of living fully, narrow one’s world and focus and slow that vibrant interaction between people.  It’s much easier to contribute when you are in balance and harmony.

“I have lots more energy…”

Why did you first consult Health for Life Chiropractic?
My doctor diagnosed me with sciatica and I was in a very bad way.

How has chiropractic changed your life?
Since having chiropractic treatment my body has changed considerably:

  • I have lots more energy.
  • My posture is better.
  • I am pain free!

And all this after 3 weeks—it really is the best way to a healthier lifestyle.

Do you have any other comments for anyone reading this?
When you start treatment, follow the doctor’s recommendations.  You will benefit—it’s well worth it in all aspects!

“It was my job to look at my lifestyle
and improve it.”

Over a period of time I had experienced discomfort in my neck.  Gradually this increased to quite long periods of pain.  Eventually I began to lose grip and power in my right arm.

In consultation the G.P. advised me that my pain was due to the wear and tear of the vertebrae in my neck.  He said that there was no way to repair the damage but advised that the pain would cease once the vertebrae had fused.  He gave me pain killers and sent me on my way.

Given that I am quite an active person, the thought of loss of mobility, especially when so young, depressed me.  A colleague at work who was attending the chiropractic clinic told me how the chiropractor had helped her and I decided that I would give it a try.

I’ve been attending the clinic now for 10 months, and during that time I have had only two instances of discomfort in my neck which lasted for only a few days.  The power and grip returned to my arm within a month or so and the rotation of my neck is now normal.  During my examination the chiropractor discovered a few other “bits” out of place, something I would have been unaware of if I had not visited the clinic.

The chiropractor is always using the word “optimum”.  It was not until recently that it “sunk in” that it was my job to look at my lifestyle and improve it to give me an optimum life.

I would like to thank Dr. Homoky for not only “mending” me but for also making me aware that I, through an improved lifestyle, can help myself.

“I now do not suffer from any migraines.”

I have been coming here for a year and a half now.  My symptoms when I first came were terrible migraines and lower back pain.

Through the help and encouragement from the Doctor I now do not suffer from any migraines, and I used to take 8 pain killers a day, now I don’t have to take any.  I still keep coming every week because I do not want to go back to how I was.

I look forward to coming here as I know I am going to feel as if I am walking on air when I come out!  I would recommend chiropractic to anyone who needs it, as it has made my life a whole lot better.

As a consequence of a car crash and a feeble response from my N.H.S. doctor, I came to see Paul.  He explained my problem and the treatment required.  I was made to feel optimistic and my confidence and satisfaction have soared over the weeks of treatment.

Although I am not completely free from pain, I am more mobile and I move with greater freedom and confidence.  I manage to work in the garden and feel no discomfort.  I played football recently and encountered some pain but I hope to start road running again soon.  That is my ultimate goal!  Forgive the pun!

could be done for my back…”

I first consulted Health for Life Chiropractic because my half sister was attending the clinic.  She thought that I might get help with acute back pain which I have had for many years.

My neck is less painful and so I sleep better.  My walking is better.

A specialist told me that nothing could be done for my back, after I had an M.R.I. scan.  Now I have hope that chiropractic will do the trick!

“My body now heals itself in a short time.”

Having suffered chronic lower back pain for some years, I decided to seek help from chiropractic.  After the initial consultation and examination, the chiropractor x-rayed my back to find out my particular problem.  I was then given a report and told that my condition was of such long duration that it was not entirely curable.  However, if I was to try chiropractic care, I may find some help and improvement.

Over the months of my treatment, I have indeed felt the benefit of much less discomfort and being able to live a normal life.  Particularly I have noticed that if I over-strain my back, my body now heals itself in a relatively short time.

I believe that chiropractic care can be very beneficial, and to all fellow sufferers, my strong advice is to seek help quickly before the problem is beyond complete cure.

“The atmosphere in the clinic is always positive, educational and caring…”

I am 60 years old and have suffered from intermittent back pain for approximately 25 years.  Unfortunately, over the past couple of years this has become more persistent and the frequency and degree of my pain was becoming increasingly difficult for me to manage and also retain my full time job.  I was suffering pain on a daily basis—this greatly restricted my lifestyle and I was becoming increasingly anxious about the frequency of my acute episodes.  I had previously visited a physiotherapist and latterly I had been a regular visitor to my GP, who prescribed pain killers as well as treating me with acupuncture.  This provided me with some relief but it was only temporary and my visits to the doctor were becoming more and more frequent.

In February 2008, a friend, who was then a patient at Health for Life, encouraged me to give chiropractic a try.  From the outset Dr. Homoky was both professional and caring—he arranged for me to have a series of x-rays.  Following his diagnosis of the problem areas, I committed to 25 chiropractic sessions, which I have just recently completed—this was not always easy as it involved a 90-mile round trip on a twice weekly basis.  After a couple of weeks of treatment my back pain reduced—I am delighted to say that I have continued to improve and I am now virtually pain free, apart from an occasional “twinge.”

I have also had some long term difficulties with neck pain—Dr. Homoky has treated this and I now have increased movement of my head and neck.  In addition, I have very much benefitted from the exercises which I have received at the clinic and generally I now feel more supple and fitter.

Chiropractic treatment at Health for Life is person-centred, gentle and unobtrusive.  The atmosphere in the clinic is always positive, educational and caring and the commitment of the staff to their patients is obvious.  I enjoy my visits to this “haven of peace” and plan to continue attending on a “maintenance basis” in the longer term.  Finally, I would like to thank Dr. Homoky and his staff for the part they have played in the improvement in my health.

“I am now pain-free and have a
nearly normal lifestyle.”

Two summers ago I was diagnosed as having a “slipped disk.”  Both the NHS and a private hospital told me that there was nothing that could be done and that I would just have to live on pain killers and anti-inflammatory pills.

With chiropractic care I am now pain-free and have a nearly normal lifestyle, and can attempt most movements including working in the garden!

I have also noticed that chiropractic care has affected other areas of my health.  For example, a few weeks ago I had severe pain in my face and one tooth, which was increased by contact with hot or cold food.  After a chiropractic adjustment to my neck the pain went away completely.  Later my dentist found there was nothing wrong with my tooth.  Chiropractic care had released all the pain!

“I am determined to not only improve the situation but also to maintain the improvement.”

I first attended Paul’s clinic 3 years ago following a particularly painful and debilitating episode of back pain.  This episode had severely limited my mobility and I was desperate to find a solution that would prevent this degree of injury recurring.

I also wanted to know if anything could be done to improve my “bad back” situation.  This problem had begun during my nurse training and has been present ever since, bad episodes becoming more frequent in my late 50’s and early 60’s.

I was reassured by the fact that Paul would not undertake any treatment without my back being x-rayed and subsequently discussing the x-ray with me, explaining the root of the problem.

Since then I have been a regular patient as I am determined to not only improve the situation but also to maintain the improvement.  I have had 3 acute episodes since commencing treatment (one unrelated to the original problem) but have found these much less debilitating than previous episodes and have found the recovery time to be far shorter than previously.

I do not hesitate to recommend Paul’s services to friends and family, and intend to remain a patient receiving what for me has been very beneficial treatment.

“I cannot believe the difference
treatment has made!”

During 2001 I experienced severe pain in my neck, back and right leg.  In December 2001 I had a consultation with my G.P. who prescribed pain killers—I decided that this was not getting to the root of the problem so I decided to make an appointment with the chiropractic clinic.

I attended the clinic for my first appointment in August 2002, and have had intensive treatment for approximately 20 weeks.  I cannot believe the difference this has made:

  • I can walk freely again.
  • I can drive my car without pain.
  • I can now do light exercise.
  • I feel 20 years younger.
  • I do not have as much pain and the feeling is returning to my right leg.
  • I am not so irritable.

“My blood pressure dropped to almost normal, without any drugs!”

I had difficulty in walking.  It was an effort to get moving.  Heavy hips, painful legs and feet.  But I plodded on with life thinking that old age was creeping up.

I was drawn to a subluxation poster at a mall promotion, which led me to have a spinal examination as I had nothing to lose.  After an assessment and x-rays, I was informed of my high blood pressure and other chronic neck and sacroiliac problems that could be helped.  I was given hope, and decided to try chiropractic.

On the second or third treatment, miraculously my blood pressure was going down!  After 1 month I was so grateful to chiropractic—my blood pressure was almost normal, without any drugs!  I am on the 4th month of chiropractic.  My energy levels have increased.  I can walk faster, the heaviness is gone.  I can sometimes run—slowly though.

Recently, I developed a very bad chesty cold with severe flu symptoms, and a troublesome cough.  Thanks to Dr. Paul’s chiropractic treatment and expert advice, my flu symptoms subsided immediately.  By the beginning of the next week I was normal—free from flu, free from cough!

I am now leading a hectic life, but I am coping with studies, exams, health goals and embracing all of life’s stresses.  I have learnt that by nurturing the spine, it cares for you through nature.  And what’s more, it puts you on the train of life!  I’m eternally grateful to chiropractic.

“Getting out of bed in the morning was
a real struggle…”

I had suffered for a number of years with pain in my right hip.  After any exercise it would be extremely painful, and getting out of bed in the morning was a real struggle, as my back felt “seized up.”

I had a constant feeling that my body was two separate halves and imbalanced.  It was starting to affect my driving, with pain and numbness down my right arm and hand, and difficulty turning my head to look behind.  As I often drive a minibus—I had to do something!

Having been attending Paul’s clinic for the past year, I feel transformed.  I have quite an active job involving hill walking and other outside activities, and treatment has made such a difference, to the point that during a review session I had forgotten that I even came in the first place complaining of pain and numbness in my right arm!

I still get slight pain in my right hip area after strenuous exercise, but nothing compared to what it was.  In all I feel so much improved and better balanced.

I wish I had found Paul’s clinic sooner but I am so grateful that he was recommended to me!  Many thanks!

“I feel I can now work better.”

I first consulted the clinic due to suffering from back pain due to a snowboarding fall.  Also due to my occupation as a dental nurse my job involves a lot of standing and moving about.

The course of treatment has made a definite improvement.  I only sometimes feel a twinge.  It has also been educational for myself as I have changed the way I work with my posture and position, so I feel I can now work better.

“I have no regrets about attending
Dr. Homoky’s clinic—it has helped me a lot.”

I approached Dr. Paul Homoky last November 2007, while he was in attendance at the St. James Centre.  I explained to him I had bother with my neck and knee.  After his advice, I decided to have some treatment.

I now feel better—my knee is better (no pain).  Also, my neck is more flexible.

When my blood pressure was taken at my first visit at the clinic it was high:

On 5/11/2007 it was  180/100;
On 19/12/2007 it was  160/100;
On 27/02/2008 it was  150/90;
On 19/05/2008 it was  142/90.

Up ‘til now I have never taken any medication for anything—long may it last!

I have no regrets about attending Dr. Paul Homoky’s clinic.  He has helped me a lot.  (Thank you.)

“Now I am gradually getting out on my own with friends, going into town on the bus...”

I first went to the chiropractor because of severe lower back pain.  I had it for many years.  It was becoming worse as I grew older.  The doctors could not help me.

After going to the chiropractor for a few weeks, I felt so much better.  The pain had become a little less.  My main problem had been standing for any length of time.  I could never go and stand waiting for a bus.  Now I am gradually getting out on my own with my friends, going into town on the bus, walking around shops, waiting in queues.

My sister told me years ago to go to a chiropractor, I wish I had listened then!

Improved glaucoma (high pressure
behind the eyes)

When I first came to the chiropractic clinic, I could hardly move my neck and was suffering severe pain and tingling in my neck, shoulders and hands.  After 9 months of chiropractic care I can now move my neck much more easily, and I have very little pain or tingling.

I was also attending the Princess Alexandria Eye Pavillion and being treated for high pressure behind the eyes [glaucoma].  Since receiving chiropractic care this pressure is now halved!

Thank you!

“I am breathing much easier and deeper.”

Over the years I had experienced discomfort in my neck, feelings of stiffness and limitation of movement as well as occasional pain.  I felt dizzy when I looked up and it was difficult for me to keep good posture.  I was depressed, always tired and my energy level was low.

After the initial consultation and examination, Dr. Homoky x-rayed my neck and back and found out my problem.  He told me that I cannot expect 100% perfection considering the 20 year duration of my neck problems and my age:  I am 74 years old.

However, I feel much better since I started chiropractic care two months ago.  I noticed the symptoms began to disappear after just a few treatments and it is still getting better:

Movements in my neck are smoother and less restricted and it is easier to perform my daily activities.  The pain in my neck disappeared.  I have more energy.  I am less tired.  I can look up without feeling dizzy and nausea.  It is much easier for me to keep good posture.  I am breathing much easier and deeper.  I am less depressed than before the treatment.

During the sessions, Dr. Homoky is correcting the cause of the problem with spinal adjustments which is very beneficial in terms of longer lasting results compared to occasional massage which usually gave relief from symptoms for only a day or two.

What I like about Dr. Homoky’s treatment is his wholistic approach.  He is not treating just the spinal problems but he is treating the person as a whole, considering the patient’s way of life, his work, his relationships, his leisure activities.  Spinal adjustments are one thing, but Dr. Homoky finds the time to explain to the patient the cause of his or her problems, gives advice, talks about prevention and how the patient can help himself.  He is very friendly and “down to earth.”  I like the fact that he is pointing out the benefit of being physically active and the importance of exercises.  Not often do you meet a doctor who appreciates the importance of physical activities and exercises; they rather consider the medication to be the most important factor in treating their patients.

Thank you Dr. Homoky!

“After a severe fall off scaffolding resulting in a fracture of my spinal column…”

After a severe fall off scaffolding resulting in a fracture of my spinal column, I was left with severe localized pain and very bad sciatic pains.  Walking to the shop (150 yards) was a 10 minute labour.  After about 5 sessions of chiropractic over 2 weeks, I climbed a Munro on my 55th birthday!

I was only interested in pain relief and that was achieved.  I don’t want to sound like J.M. of Bradford extorting the virtues of double glazing, but since I’ve started chiropractic care, I can also honestly say I have less pain, I can move better, work better, play better, I have more energy, and I’m more flexible!

If I go 3-4 weeks without an adjustment, it becomes pretty apparent how life was like before…  Results are the only proof of the pudding, what more can I say.

My advice:
As a first resort, try it.
As a last resort, try it.

“Chiropractic puts me in the best situation for coping with my M.S.”

I came to chiropractic five years ago when developing walking and balance problems.  Neurologists had failed to diagnose what was in fact early multiple sclerosis, and I was looking for other possible causes.

I had an old sports injury which had caused years of pain in my lower back and legs, and, whilst it soon became apparent that this was not causing the walking problem, chiropractic has almost entirely removed this pain.

By pooling our knowledge with the chiropractic team, I was encouraged to return for a diagnosis which was eventually reached.

I now know that keeping my spine properly maintained with regular chiropractic care puts me in the best situation for coping with my M.S. problems.

“I am in less pain and able to do more!”

I consulted the clinic as a result of suffering back pain over a ten year period.  Having been fobbed off by my G.P. I decided to give chiropractic a try (well, my wife decided for me, if I am being honest!)  At the time of my first visit, I could hardly stand up straight and was in constant pain.

As a result of receiving chiropractic help over an eight month period, I am in less pain, more mobile and able to do more.  I am also more aware of what may cause me problems, particularly simple things like how to sit at a P.C.

My advice to anyone who has had no joy from their G.P. is to try chiropractic help—it’s got to be better than enduring all that pain!

“The chiropractor encouraged me”

I have suffered from periodic back pain for more than 20 years.  So I know that you can become used to it—that simple nagging pain that comes and goes.  But it can be fixed with a little time and patience as I found out.

It took a bad bout of pain to take the first step towards a pain-free existence.  In addition to correcting the cause of the problem with spinal adjustments, regular visits to the chiropractor encouraged me to change the way I strode through life, by way of proper posture and exercise, to make sure the problems I had don’t reoccur.  And I feel a lot better for it!

“The recovery rate is much, much quicker.”

Before attending the chiropractic clinic, I had near constant pain in my neck, shoulder, right arm and elbow.  Doing even light tasks was painful and I needed days to recover.  Looking over my right shoulder and reversing the car was a problem—I almost had to turn my whole upper body.

I have been a chiropractic patient for some months, and I now understand the value of chiropractic care and how it has helped me towards better health.

For example, I can now look over my right shoulder without turning my upper body, and I have no pain in my elbow!

I have to say also that if I do get pain in my neck and shoulder, for whatever reason, the recovery rate is much, much quicker.

Chiropractic care has definitely helped me!

“I have not taken pain killers for ages.”

When I first met Dr. Homoky, I was at a stage of giving up any hope for improvement to my back—I had lost all faith in doctors and was low in self esteem.

I was very sceptical at my first visit, but soon my outlook changed when I got a proper report of findings.  I could finally understand why I felt discomfort and it greatly helped knowing that it wasn’t all in my mind!

The initial report of findings helped a lot, then with regular manipulation after under 2 months I was able to have a good night’s sleep on my back and with a pillow.  (I had not been able to do this for 2 years!)

My treatments are now wider spaced but progress is still going strong.  I have not taken painkillers for ages.

My friends and family have all commented on the positive attitude and outlook on life I have now, and Health for Life has been a massive part of my change of outlook.

Chiropractic care has worked for me and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants the best out of their bodies and their lives.
