Frances Bavin, RNT
Nutritional Therapist
Frances first became aware of the powerful effects of nutritional therapy about ten years ago after seeking help from a therapist to relieve her own health issues. The results were fantastic. This sparked an interest that continued to grow and it then seemed natural to her to return to education so she could help others in the same way. She trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) which follows the naturopathic belief that given the right tools, the body has an inherent ability to heal itself. Anybody that sees Frances is treated holistically and individually, and where specific protocols are used, they are always tailored towards that client. Frances is a registered member of BANT and fully insured. She also attends regular training seminars as part of continuing professional development.
Sarah Urquhart-Taylor, RMT, DSM, DIH
Massage Therapist
Sarah has been working as a massage therapist since June 2008. She became interested in becoming a massage therapist because she has experienced, first hand, the benefits that it can offer. Sarah began receiving massage treatment at the age of 17 and found that it was extremely helpful in improving her physical and emotional health. Sarah started Poolewe Massage Clinic in June 2008, upon completion of her diploma in Swedish Massage at The Highland School of Massage in Inverness. Sarah offers Sports and Remedial Massage, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage and Pregnancy Massage from Health for Life. In addition to working at Health for Life Chiropractic, Sarah works as an on-site massage therapist in various businesses and offices throughout Edinburgh, and also works as part of a team offering massage therapy to competitors at Sporting events such as marathons and triathalons.
Sasha Grandi BSc (Hons) MNIMH
Medical Herbalist
I have used complementary medicine and natural health care from a very young age and as a result have great confidence in this system. After finishing school I went on to study Anatomy Physiology and Massage followed by Clinical Aromatherapy. From this training I became fascinated with the way the human body functions and the way it can be affected by naturally occurring medicines. This led me to Napier University in Edinburgh, where I completed a 4-year honours degree course in Herbal medicine and became a fully qualified Medical Herbalist and member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH). I have an interest in all aspects of medicine and would encourage increased use of alternative therapies in our modern culture.
